Android Central Question

My usb cable is connected to Win 10 PC at once end and connected to Note 8 at the other end. After I transferred some photos to PC I want to disconnect phone from PC.

How can I safely remove note 8 device?

Why there is no safely remove device option for note 8?

Thanks

I answered your earlier post. It is only a PC requirement.
Safely removing device is not required for Win8 and newer.

Once you're done copying what you need, just unplug it. It'll be fine. The "Safely remove device" function is obsolete.

I might be misremembering, but doesn't Windows 10 still have an Eject option for USB drives? (It still doesn't matter for smartphones, since that option isn't needed when disconnecting, as already mentioned.)

It's also not needed. Windows 8 and newer handles adding and removing external drives differently than previous versions.

Microsoft disabled it because it isn't needed.
