Now bar issues

So far, my now bar only shows Google sports. None of the other apps they claim work with the now bar never appear. I've got notifications turned on in all of those apps

The Now Bar only shows RUNNING notifications, not 'regular' ones. So, for instance, to see a Timer there, you need to be running a timer. For Maps, you need to be actively navigating for the directions to show. Same for music apps (unless you're playing music, the 'widget' won't show).

I've heard this before from many people. I (fortunately but unfortunately, since I couldn't care less about sports) am consistently getting sportsball results from our local team because I asked once what the scoreboard was for a friend. But I've read a few posts that suggest turning sports on/off repeatedly and then trying to search a few times for the team you want results for.

I think the reason its not working sports updates is checked in the not interested in my search personalization in Google. I unchecked everything in there but this will not uncheck no matter what i do. Tried to uncheck in my Tab and pc as well.
