How to save a voicemail message to an MP3 (or similar) file?

I have a few voicemail messages I really need to save as MP3 (or similar files). A file format that can be emailed and played back by the recipient.

I'm hoping someone can tell me how to do this. Thanks.

If you use visual voicemail, go to the voicemail you want to save, hit save, and then go to export to file, I believe it's saved as in mp3

I don't have Visual Voicemail.

Look in the app store for call recording apps. There's a few choices.

I use the Automatic Call Recorder app from the Playstore and find that it does a great job.
