Android Central Question

So several years ago my S8 Edge Plus completely broke (screen, case, buttons) most of the inside though stayed unharmed. I had some very important pictures and notes saved and I would like to save them now, 2 years later. I already opened the phone with the heat method but I don't quite now what to do now. What part is the storage, is it the big black card? Well if so now my question is, is there a way to save the data on it ? Can I buy something extrrnal and connect it to it with cables and save the data or is there simply anyway that won't cost me a fortune, I just wanna save picture and notes from my broken phone.

By the way, the phone is completely broken and some parts of it lost, so any kind of answer that includes connecting the phone to a computer or something like that possibly won't work as I only have the storage from the opened phone, and the other single parts.

If you were sign into your Samsung account on that phone and things were backed up you have excellent chance of receiving your picture or stuff back if not it's not going happen or very expensive to try make happen .

(which may cost in the several hundred dollar range).
Having done much simpler data recovery than that, I can tell you that you're shy by a few decimal places.

The motherboard (assuming it's still working) would have to be put into another, working, S8 Edge. Most shops don't do that level of work.

If the motherboard isn't working, and the SoC is (the more likely situation), the SoC would have to be removed from the motherboard, and installed on the motherboard of a working S8 Edge. Almost no shops do work at that level.

If the SoC is bad (the most likely situation), the data is permanently lost if it's not backed up - which is why all important - or potentially-important - data should ALWAYS be backed up. The phone can be replaced, the data can't be most of the time. And backups are a lot cheaper than data recovery - enough cloud storage, using a few cloud accounts, is free.
