How to schedule downloads?

Hi, finally took the plunge and jumped on the android ship with an HTC One m8.

I would like to know how do I schedule a movie or app download to occur at a certain time. What app allows me to do this?

Also looking for a nice screengrab app that doesn't leave a watermark.

Also, any other cool apps I should download? I like apps with clean and pretty UI's

Congratulations on your purchase, you made a wise decision.

You can take a screen shot by holding the power + volume down buttons simultaneously (no watermarks). As for your first question, I don't really understand it, can you please reiterate it?

You can go to the Google Play Store and check apps listed under Top Free, Top Paid, and Editor's Choice - you'll definitely stumble upon some nice ones.

I want to download a movie or download an app...however, I want this movie or app to download after I'm asleep at midnight.

Also, I tried taking a screenshot whilst pressing the two volume buttons and the power button. It does not seem to be working.

You hold the power button and the volume down buttons ONLY, not BOTH volume buttons. As for scheduled downloads, unfortunately I am not sure how you'd go about doing that. The only way I know would be to manually start the downloads before you go to bed.

I've looked for an app, and haven't seen any. I think just starting the movie download before you go to bed may be the only solution for now. Downloading apps only takes a few seconds and can be done almost anytime.

Yeah, the reason I ask is that I get free data to use from 1am to 6 am. I want to make use of this offer without having to stay up until 1am.

I haven't tried it, but there could potentially be some sort of workaround. With an app like tasker, you can set the WIFI to turn on at a specific time of day. After doing that, you could possibly change your settings to the download over WIFI only. Like I said, I haven't tried it, just trying to think outside the box.

Zedge has a variety of apps and themes that are free. That's the beauty of Android (more specifically) the flagship HTC One M8. Also, get SwiftKey keyboard. It's an excellent alternative to Sense 6.

I don't know if you already found a solution, but I came across an app called Advanced Download Manager and it does exactly what you're looking for. Under the description it says: plan scheduled downloads.

Google the app and you'll find a free version and a pro version, I'm not sure which does which. Good luck.

F&%$ it ... i'm going to write my own app to do this. Could not find a working solution.
Gonna hardcode download between 12 and 7 am...

So, I installed uTorrent. Got my app going to fire up uTorrent at 12. Works like a charm!

You could use zeta torrent it helps to schedule torrent

Wow this is an old post lol... Anyways here's my two cents, you could install Llama or Tasker to open up an app at a specific time then also close down. This would help with the scheduled downloads.

Hi,

first download and install Advanced Download manager(ADM) form google play store on your android mobile.
now add download link of your desired file in the ADM from + icon.
Paused the download once started.
Goto settings-->Planning
select Download files button.select start time and End time.
Now ADM will automatically download files at certain time.
