How to send email to a single user with multiple addresses

Good morning,

I just got a Samsung Skyrocket on AT&T. It's running 2.3.5. I love the phone but have one question:

When sending an email, NOT Gmail, and I select the recipient from my contacts, it automatically picks up the default email address that was selected for that contact within the contact manager. Several of my contacts have more than one email address and I need to be able to choose which address to send to. The thing is, I see no option to do so when selecting the contact in the email message. The only way around this that I can see is to have separate contact entries for each email address. That would mean I could have four or more contact entries for each person. Totally not acceptable.

So, am I missing something here? Is there a way to select which email address you want to send to when creating a message? Or do I have to go in and change the default email address within the contact before I compose my emails?

Thanks!

When you go to compose the email.. don't select a contact. Start typing the contacts email address or their name in the text field. As soon as you enter two or more letters.. it will bring up a selection of contacts that matches.

For example if the contact is Joe and he has two email addresses... joe@gmail and sloppyjoe@aol
As soon as you enter "jo" ... a selection of email address will pop up to choose from.

Another way to do it would be to send the email from the contacts. Open contacts... go to Joe's contact information and select the option/email address to email him to.

Well Cyber, you were right.

Here is what was happening to me. I tend to use my phone in landscape mode. Typing the letters does not bring up the list. Instead I get a little bar displayed with nothing in it. Come to find out that if I hold the bar I will see the addresses. Apparently the keyboard on the screen prevents the list from displaying. It's only a problem in Landscape as portrait mode has plenty of room to display the list between the address field and the keyboard.

Thanks for the help!
