I've just installed Nova Launcher, and everything working fine... however whenever I'm adding more than 2 pages, the home button automatically makes the middle page the default one.
Is there a way how to make page 1 the default one??

And if not... is Apex Launcher able to do this?

if you press the home button twice Nova will take you to a snapshot of all you home screen.
There will be a green tick on one of the home screen. just hold and drag that tick mark to whatever home screen you want.

edit: to see this change you have to restart Nova launcher. its in Nova launcher settings-->restart Nova launcher

My galaxy nexus decides to randomly ask me what launcher to use. If i ever press home, it asks me which launcher to use, i press on nova and "always" and it works for 5 min or up until i put it to sleep. Then it resumes the bull**** again. Same happens when i press the recent apps option, it shows nova launcher as an app. Which has never happened to me before, if i press on the nova "app" it goes normally to my nova home, if i press somewhere else, it asks me which launcher to use again.
- I have tried going into nova launcher and setting the default launcher
- i paid for the nova launcher
- it started acting weird well before the recent update with kitkat features

Please help

I have seen this type behavior with Nova once before when I installed a different lockscreen that clashed with Nova for some reason.

Uninstalling the lockscreen fixed it for me. Just make sure that Nova is set as the default launched as the lockscreen I installed kept changing that with me. I would also try going into recovery and fixing permissions and wiping the dalvik cache. It is possible that it could be another app or mod that cold be causing the issue. You may have to dig deeper.

Since i got no other lockscreens installed. Would the stock lockscreen be interfering? i dont think it should. How do i clear this dalvik cache and go into recovery?

going back into my all apps in the google play store, i am able to see the past things ive installed. And the last lockscreens i installed just for the sake of boredom and curiosity were:
- ios7 lockscreen parallex hd by apper shopper
- sparky lockscreen lite by sparky mobile

Maybe you should describe your setup. I am assuming you are rooted and running a custom recovery and rom since you say you have KitKat on your Galaxy Nexus.

The kitkat is the new nova icons and features. not the actual processing unit. and i dont really know how to root or run a custom recovering

Got it. The KitKat you speak of is the Nova theming. It really sounds like your issue was with one of the lockscreens clashing with Nova, but uninstalling should have fixed it. Maybe something is still lingering. There is couple of things I would try. 1) Go to settings>apps and select the three dot menu in the upper right corner, then select reset app preferences. 2) Uninstall Nova, reboot device, reinstall Nova, and restore Nova settings or manually add them back if you don't use a backup.

That seemed to do the trick. Hopefully it doesnt cause it to go haywire again. THANKS A LOT. I appreciate the help.

I have the same problem. I have a friend who has the same problem with the default back button (not Nova Launcher). Let me know if you find an answer.

this is what po's me about these apps. They sure didn't make that obvious. Another thing. Where are the detailed instructions on how to even use these apps?

Too easy! I wrote to Nova and got a VERY quick response:

Just click the little house icon above the screen you want to be your default screen.
