How to set Launcher on Galaxy S3 to default after shut down?

Looking around and I haven't seen this issue discussed. Sorry if it's been asked already....

Battery issues with my S3 led me to buy the Samsung battery charger for $30 on Amazon. Kind of expensive, but worth it to me. I have four batteries and I switch them out as they die. I never have to worry about having a dead anymore, which is great. However, this brings up a minor annoyance. Every time I shutdown to replace the battery, I have to choose my default launcher. Is there any way to get the phone to remember my default launcher after a restart?
Thanks for any feedback.

When you set the launcher, it gives you two buttons: Always and Just Once. If you tap Always, it should remember it forever. Do you normally tap Always or Just Once?

If you usually tap Always and are still having this problem, which launcher are you using.

I use Nova, and the phone remembers it every time I restart.

Thanks for the reply. I use Next Launcher 3d. Yes, I always tap "always", but have the same issue on shutdown and battery change.
After trying the stock launcher and clicking "always", I find that I am not asked to choose launcher after restart. OK, this sounds like an issue with the Next Launcher.
