How to shut off the touch screen ?

This phone is driving me crazy lately.

Basically, this is what i want...

I want to hit the power button to shut off the screen, and when I do, I don't want the touch screen to activate again, until I hit the power button again.

Every time, I hit the power button and put it in my pocket, when take out the phone, all kinds of apps are running that I didn't open.

Any idea? It's killing me.

Good thought, None of my motion gestures are selected.

It seems like I had a similar issue when I first got my 10. I'll dig through the settings when I get a chance and see if I can remember what I did.

Motion gestures included in double tap to wake? I thought DTTW was seperate setting. My 10 had the same issue till I stopped DTTW. On a diff phone now or I'd take a look.
