The way Android works, though, opening multiple apps will not keep them all in the foreground at the same time. Only one foreground app will remain open at a time, while the others will be paused in the background (unless they have some active background service like playing music). I suppose it would make it a little bit quicker to switch between apps, but the gains in speed would probably be minor. In addition, the way Samsung's firmware is, it may be difficult to tell if and when the system will completely kill a paused app from RAM (since Samsung is known for aggressive RAM management).
