How to sort photos by ilename in gallery?

I have my photos on an SD card sorted into albums. Everything is fine except I can not sort my photos by filename. Gallery has sort options for other (useless) parameters but not file name. This seems crazy to me but I'm a long time DOS/Windows kind of person.

Is there a way to do this or is there a better photo viewing app?

Not directly from the Gallery, but you can do it from the File Manager. Just select the folder where your pictures are stored and you can sort by file name there. Not sure if other Gallery apps would do what you want, though, as I've never used a 3rd party gallery in any of my devices.

Like sppokdroid said, a File Explorer would be the best way to go.

I suggest ES File Explorer.

QuickPic (Free at the Play Store) allows you to sort albums or pictures within an album by name, date, etc. It's in the menu under Sort. It's a pretty good Gallery replacement.
