Hello all. I have noticed that about 90% of the Samsung flipcovers being sold on Ebay/Amazon are fakes. Here is a video i made showing a real Flip cover and talking about what to look for on a fake so that you can tell what your buying.

I just got a note 2 today and Id LOVE to get a gray one to go with my titanium. But it kills me that this is basically a loose flap that goes on the screen. It looks so nice though and unique...but ~35 bucks for what essentially is just a flap is too steep for my pocket!

Good video. I bought the Titanium one at Best Buy and love it. The fake ones are supposed to have the cover detach from the back rather quickly. The real cover feels sturdy and as if it will never fall or rip.

I agree, I'm going to use my 50% discount and by the mint one, and with a clear case I already have. I'm going to cut the side where the the flap will be. it totally works. I saw a tutorial on it on here and it was pretty cool

I found this out to late, after buying a fake from Amazon. Got a genuine one form Ebay.

Fake left picture.

I saw Verizon is offering buy one get one free for these cases. My question is do they offer any protection from a fall? Looks to me like they only protect the screen from scratches.

That's odd about those pictures. My case from Best Buy was clear and had an official Samsung Product sticker.

Correct, it isn't all around protection. There was a thread (either here or xda) where someone drop theirs in the case and the screen shattered. If you buy this I would do like I mentioned earlier about putting a case on it, along with the flip case

oh wow you can really see the difference in the lettering of the GALAXY NOTE 2. I gotta check once i get home if i got a fake one

Found some new fakes on ebay that have been redesigned to have the indentations that the real case has, saw a few for around $15 from Hong Kong
