How to start the camera in rear mode

My 'selfie' camera on my galaxy S8 doesn't work, so when I open the camera app it closes shortly after - as it is stuck in selfie mode. Is there anyway I can start the camera in rear view?

That's the default, so it may be that the app is bad. Try installing a different camera app.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this the stock Camera app you're using? The default for the stock Camera app should be the rear-facing camera, not the front-facing one.
