Hello everyone,

Devices:
Revvl 5G
Fossil Garrett HR Gen 5

They run the latest Android OS and have the most recent updates.

My issue:
I have a personal email and a work email. Both Gmail. I use my personal email as my phone default of course. For work, I want to see my work emails as well as my work calendar and work's drive THAT IS IT. I signed into my Gmail with my work account and now it is taking over everything. All I want it on my phone for is Gmail, calendar, and drive but now it is in my contacts, payments, YouTube, etc. When I am viewing my personal Gmail, everything is under my personal account, when I simply tap my work Gmail inbox, everything then is under my work account. This is hindering me in many ways. For one, when I try to use my car's phone feature, it goes to my work's contact list if I am under my work Gmail's inbox. My work contacts list is literally thousands of contacts and anyone I need to talk to from work are under my personal contacts anyways. I have absolutely no need for the contact list from my work email to be in contacts. It is extremely irritating because then I have to keep pulling over and keep tapping the right account in contacts to use the car feature. I even have my personal account as my default account in everything but it still keeps going back and forth. I also setup google pay for NFC payments. I went through the motions and then all of a sudden all my payment information was going on my work account!

How can I stop this account for taking over my phone? All I want it on my phone for is to view work emails, view my work calendar, and view work documents in drive THAT IS IT. But now it is into everything and really causing problems. I want it completely wiped out of everything else especially contacts and payments.

Thank you in advance for the support!

Of you hadn't needed it for drive documents I would have recommended you pit your work email into outlook. It would show the emails and calendar through that app. Dunno what to say. Once you add an account it ports everything to the phone. You could turn off sync for work contacts in settings but the original contacts would still be on board. I don't know what to suggest.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Accounts, select the work Google account, then the sync options, and turn off the sync for Contacts and anything else you don't want to sync on your phone. Then open one of those apps and see if the work account information is still there.
