I had same experience with my S7. Wait for the annoying reminder to pop up again. When it does, you'll see little dots in the upper right. Tap those dots and that should reveal an option to disable reminders.

Im a Smartphone newbie. I too same prob. I found better solution on my own. I also had Notifications OFF&still. Instead go to Settings,then SOUNDS. Slide Notification slider all the way off. You'll see Calls,Media sounds&etc...you can adjust while u

e: How to stop notifications from games etc but still hear for text messages

So burned on checking text for something important only for it telling me my energy is refilled on on of my games

Settings>search bar, type notification reminder>open, turn off.

Thank you for the information. There are times I may not mind getting a notification every few minutes, like if I get a text and don't hear it right away for whatever reason. But I was trying to use the iheart radio app and the Amazon music app. I want the icon for the apps to appear on the lock screen and in the notification bar at the top, so when I am using the app I can change the song or station without having to unlock my phone or close out of the other app I'm using to go to Amazon or iheart to change the song. But if I allowed the icon to appear in the lock screen, I kept get the stupid notification sound every minute or so to remind me I was using iheart or Amazon. I think I know I'm using the app when I have it on. And it got distracting when I was trying to listen to a song and every so often a beep would sound that wasn't a part of the song. So thank you again for the information.
