Does anyone know how to stop Evernote, Remote PC and SideSync from updating without having to root.

I do not want or use these services and have uninstalled them to factory settings in Applications, stopped them from loading using the Startup Manager App, and turned off Automatic Updates in Play Store. But still they reinstall themselves at regular intervals.

To be honest any app that is forced upon me in bloatware I will not use just out of principle. I fail to see why I do not have the choice of what is on a Tablet that I have paid good money for, and resent the fact that I maybe should have to root the device to give me that choice.

Many of us feel the same way, and resent that Google chose to leave su out of the package (which would mean that the phone or tab was rooted). Unfortunately, in order to freeze or uninstall system apps (and those are probably installed as system apps), you have to be rooted. (Converting to an iPhone won't improve the situation - you have to jailbreak the iPad, which is Apple's equivalent of rooting.)

Disable the app. Disabled apps always go back to the default install (it'll uninstall any updates) and won't update anymore. It's the closest thing to being able to delete them that exists without rooting.

I have tried disabling the app, but it updates nonetheless and I disable and uninstall it again. So annoying that I pay for a tablet only to have no say on what apps I have installed on it. I do not want to use Evernote or any of the other bloatware stuff that Samsung deems we have to use.

No idea then. On my Note 2, Note 4, and Tab S, all my disabled apps stay disabled. No clue as to why yours are coming back. Have you cleared the cache partition? That tends to clear up wonky behavior.

If you happen to have other Android devices and have backup and automatic restore option turned on in settings, it will keep reinstalling the apps linked to your Google account whether you like it or not.

I didnt know that. I think I have automatic updates turned on on my mobile. Will turn it off. Thanks very much for your help.

No, it's not automatic updates that you need to turn off, but "automatic restore" in "backup and reset" settings menu.
