How to store in car?

@2defmouze

I live in the south and cold air is worth more than gold some days. I've always been concerned with the phone blocking this precious resource if I mounted it to a vent. How much does the phone block the A/C?

Doesn't bother me.. I can point the other vents at me if needed.. But after a few minutes the car is usually cold enough anyway.

Vent dock here too. Walmart for me. And when heavy Navigation or streaming then the air keeps my phone cool. The Mississippi late summer days the ac is a must! But its never made a difference with my air.

Before I bought my ProClip mount I used a vent mount. I live in Phoenix, AZ so cold air out my vents is important here too. I never noticed a problem with air flow when my phone was in the vent mount. In fact, I really liked the cold air blowing on my phone to keep it cool when running navigation apps. The problem with the vent mount was that there were times when I wanted heat instead of cold air out my vents. This happened when I drove to visit my in-laws who live in a very cold location. The heat blowing out the vents made the phone way too hot. Most of the time I am blowing cold air out my vents, and it has never been a problem having my phone in a vent mount, but the few time I did need heat out the vents it was terrible having the phone in a vent mount. That is ultimately what turned me to the ProClip mount because it keeps the phone out of the windshield and away from my vents.

My consule between the seats has two places I can keep my phone.One is a pocket just below the radio,the other is a slot beside the shifter.
When I use a holster to carry my phone in I simply clip the holster to the sun visor.Lately tho I havent been using holsters.

I also use a ProClip in Phoenix, the builtin charger version. In my case (and this varies from car to car) the phone slightly blocks one of the AC vents. Since I normally use the AC and can't remember the last time I had heat coming out the vents I see this as a benefit (builtin phone cooling).

I drive a stick, not much of an option in the city... But yeah, not the best of ideas ;)

I drove a stick for years so I'm used to steering with only my left hand. Now that I drive an automatic I never know what to do with my right hand. It feels weird to put to hand on the steering wheel, and I want to avoid putting my hand on the shifter so I don't accidently shift from drive to 2nd while I'm on the interstate. Holding my phone just gives me something to do with my hand.

(let the jokes begin)

Perfect. ProClip doesn't make one for my Sentra. What a terrible company. (Not really, of course. I'm just being bitter :( )

But what my Sentra already has is a slot just behind the cup holders where my phone fits great.
