How to switch SD Card

I'd like to switch to a larger SD card. (The 8 gb card from my previous phone was switched to this one).

How complicated is it to do so? Can I just copy the contents of the 8 gb card and paste it to the new card?

Yes you can as long as the stuff on your 8gb sdcard is compatible with your S3, which I assume it is.Sounds like you been using the old sdcard and just want a bigger card

Just copy the contents of your old card to a PC. Put the new card in your phone and format it. Then copy / paste the contents from your PC to the new card.

Yes, always use the phone to format the new card.

When I transferred my card from my Incredible 2 to the SGS3 I did this same process.

I would not format with the phone. I'd use a pc and use fat32. Avoids potential problems down the road.
