How to take a photo using depth of field?

As the title says, what mode and how to make the photo I take have focus on the foreground but blurred background on my S8?

Right, but can you please tell me how to so that? When I just click on an object in the foreground to take a pic, I see the focus is on it but it doesn't blur the background

You can adjust focus from the default photo gallery, not the camera app.

With the camera launched swipe your finger to the right in the middle of the screen for the shooting mode options.
