Randomly notifications/time/battery bar don't showing on lock screen (Pixel 7 256 GB)

So far it seems like safe mode works for me also. Tomorrow I'll begin testing individual apps.

I have made a list of my apps, if you can indicate which you use I can prioritise testing apps we have in common.

- fastmail
- times radio
- bbc weather
- bbc news
- steam
- battle.net
- whatsapp
- firefox
- bitwarden
- ms authenticator
- what3words
The apps that I also installed are:
Steam, Whatsapp, Firefox, MS Authenticator

I tested FastMail first. I chose it because there is an issue with the notifications often not going away after an email is read. I uninstalled FastMail only, used my phone as normal for a day, the issue did not occur. I installed FastMail again and immediately the issue occurred. I uninstalled FastMail and the issue only resolved when the phone was rebooted.

I will do more lengthy tests now, I just wanted to report this initial finding.

Edit: The issue returned with FastMail uninstalled, so this may have been a false positive.

Edit 2: I will test Steam next because we have that in common and it has very bad reviews.

Do you use WhatsApp on the phone only, or also via the Windows Desktop App, or WhatsApp Web etc?

Edit: Never mind, it looked like WhatsApp might be responsible but it's another false positive. Issue still occurs with WhatsApp uninstalled.

MS Authenticator was next on the list, but I can't remove that I need it.
Have to put this testing on hold for now, I got busy.

Tested with BBC news, BBC weather, times radio uninstalled - issue still occurred, but I observe it took about 2 days instead of the usual 1 day to occur.

I suspect this isn't caused by a specific app, perhaps a longer test in safe mode would reveal the issue still occurs, or perhaps a test in normal mode with all apps removed would.

I can't lose app access for that long at the moment to test that theory so hands are tied. I'm concluding whatever this is it's Google's responsibility to investigate it further, it's their operating system that is brittle.

You're right, testing each app individually is a huge job and if in the end it's as you say, therefore a Google problem, we would only waste a lot of time.
The problem is that this is the only solution that Google support offers (if you want, try to chat with support too and you will see that they will offer you this method).

Thanks for the time you spent trying to find a solution!
