AC Question
Hi there,
I'm not much of a gamer anymore but there's just this ONE car game I really enjoyed playing on my old Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini (called "Horizon Chase"). It's purely a solo game and offers no cloud support for transferring save. I really really want to transfer my save progress from the old phone to my new Xperia XZ.
Problem is, all methods I found online involve plugging the old phone to my PC, and using a file manager app such as "Helium". This I cannot do, because the micro-USB port of the Galaxy S5 Mini doesn't work anymore - when I plug it to my PC, it charges all right but that's about it, the Device Manager recognises it as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" and I can't make any USB transfer.
However there is no problem transferring files through Dropbox, so if I could just know where the save files are located I could achieve my goal...!!
As far as I know, files for any app are located in Android\data and Android\obb, and turns out Horizon Chase has a folder in both. But copy-pasting them into my new phone (which already has the app installed) doesn't change anything!
The support from the developpers just said they can't help me with it, so I hope someone here can. It doesn't make any sense to me ! The save files MUST be located somewhere in the old phone, it can't be magic! So how come transferring every game file to the new phone doesn't transfer the save progress as well ?
The only way it makes sense to me is, apps store files elsewhere, in a location I'm not aware of.
