How to transfer data from Nexus 6p to a pen drive using OTG cabel

Hi,

I am able to see the data on the pen drive on my Nexus 6p and can play it , but when i try to transfer anything from my device to pen drive then i not able to do that .

is there a way or app that can help me to achieve the same without rooting my device

Please suggest ....

r u using an app or Android's build in explorer? try using Solid Explorer app

Try a different drive or reformat the drive.

I'll try this but the same drive I used in let 1s n it worked fine.

Personally I have use ES file explorer with mine and it works great for reading and transferring files. I have a type-c micro SD card reader and a home made type-c flash drive (which is just a type C to A adapter with a tiny flash drive stuck in it) that I have been using in my 6P for months now with no problems.

Also depending on the adapter you may have to select a different USB setting for it from the notification shade in order to use it properly. I know one of my adapters has to be in file transfer mode to work, and another one has to be in charging mode, which is weird but it works.

Solid file manager worked for me. Will buy the full version. I tried es file manager but it force closes every time I try to transfer data from phone to pen drive.
