I just switched from ios to android and am in need of some help! I downloaded the kindle app and tried to transfer some mobi books to the 6p. I connected the phone to the computer and changed the usb notification to "USB for file transfer". I can see some folders in the internal storage such as music, pictures and movies, but don't see one for kindle books. I also downloaded an amazon book from the cloud to the phone within the kindle app thinking that it may create a folder, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go to the kindle settings on the Amazon website using a PC. They provide you with an email address you can email ebooks to that will add them to your kindle. As a matter of fact the email address is in the kindle apps settings.

I knew about emailing the book to the kindle email account, but I prefer to just transfer via the computer. Here's how I finally got it to work in case others also have this problem:

1. Downloaded a file manager app (ES File Explorer), which sees the Kindle folder.
2. Uploaded a book to a cloud storage account (OneDrive).
3. Copied the book from OneDrive to 6p using ES File Explorer.
4. Connected phone to computer, which now sees the kindle folder.

Hey, man. I was just facing the same problem with no end in sight. Thanks a bunch for this piece of valuable info.

I'm using this site for the first time, so couldn't quote you in the previous reply. Thanks a lot for your solution to the problem. You are a life-saver.
