How to transfer files from usb drive to the tablet

So I can play the files from the usb thumb drive, but I cant figure out how to transfer them from the drive, so I can remove the the three inches of adapter and usb drive

There's probably another way, but I would use Astro file manager (free from the market). Locate the file that you want to copy on the USB with Astro just as you would with Windows Explorer (or Finder if Mac). Long press on file name, select Edit, Copy (or Move), then go to the destination folder on your tab, long press, select Edit, then Paste.

Note - I don't have the usb adapter, but that's probably how it works.

Plug your thumb drive into your pc and copy the files you want in to your dropbox folder. Then open dropbox on your tab and either play them from right there or use a file manager to move them.

I too sweated the lack of connectivity of the Tab until I thought it through. Dropbox has let me move files around with ease.

Don't have dropbox, go here and remedy that problem immediately!. If you use this link we both get an extra 250MB added to our free accounts.

The thumb drive files will be located in the usbStorage/sda folder.
Then use a file manager to copy them into another folder of your choice on your Tab.
