How to transfer texts to a new droid phone?

I have t-mobile and a jailbroken iphone, and my contract finally ends this week so my family and I are switching to verizon so I'll be getting a new phone (droid 2 most likely). I was wondering how I can transfer my old texts from the iphone to the droid I'll be getting, thanks for any help!

Good question. There are some converters that will take your SMS messages from the iPhone and put them in XML or some other format. I Googled "transfer sms from iphone to android" and found some utilities. From there you can grab SMS Backup and Restore from the Android market, and get the texts back on your new Droid. I don't think this will work for picture messages though.
