how to turn internet off???

Is there a way to turn the internet off after I'm done with it ok my eris that way I can save some of this horrible battery life and that way when i get back on the browser it tales me to the homepage instead of where I was last at?

you have to use one of the free apps like Advanced Task Killer.

Or get Dolphin Browser. Long press of back button exits the program completely!

Turn it off in settings. Under mobile networks.
