How to turn off in-call volume on S10+?

when i hit the volume button on the side it only turns up and down the in call volume and not the media and sometimes when i go to watch a video on YouTube, Facebook, ig etc... the volume is really low and cant turn it up because it only turns up the in call volume. How do i turn it off? Got a galaxy s10 plus

Welcome to Android Central! When you press the Volume button and see the volume slider, do you see a settings icon as well? If so, then tap that, and you should see all volume sliders appear.

I know how to work all the controls. It just the in call volume i want to get rid of.

I don't think you can get rid of that completely. Can you tell us if you see a settings icon appear on the screen right above or below the volume slider when you're adjusting the volume while in a call? If there is, tap it and see if all of the other volume sliders appear.

Ya idk when the in call volume appears at the top of the volume i loose sound on videos and my alarm a d thats the only volume i can turn up and down with the side volume buttons. If the in call volume doesn't appear in the volume section i have sound for everything anf it all back to normal. If the in call volume appears i can restart my phone and it goes back to normal with out the in call volume

Have you tried safe mode, sorry if it's asked before?

Try also resetting your phone app by long pressing it then tap info, scroll to storage and then clear data cache and force stop it

Can you clarify -- are you saying that even after the call is finished and you go to listen to some media, the volume buttons only control the In Call Volume? Or are you trying to listen to some media while also on a call?

I fixed my issue that was like yours.

Check any apps you recently downloaded and take their access or notifications to your calls or phone settings off if you don't use the apps or devices binded to the phone to make phone calls.

I had linked a smart watch to my phone through an app for the watch and ran into the volume issue showing as a call volume when I'm not in a call.

Check your permissions for apps that ask to access calls and call log information.
