How to turn off soft key lights

Some carriers leave it out of the settings and some want it in. No one knows why they do it. As someone said, my app will turn them on/off or change the timing. I've tested it in a Verizon store, but not on other carrier models yet. Make sure power save mode is off otherwise they will just stay off. (New version coming that fixes that, but waiting to test on my S7 when it arrives tomorrow.)

How to turn off button lights

Just a tip look on the play store for an app called: Galaxy button lights. Lets you set duration for the back and multi task buttons.

There is an updated app now.... Galaxy button lights 2.
Just installed it and it works for making the back lights always on or off.....

How is it different from the original? I have the original installed and wouldn't be without it. If GBL2 somehow works better than the perfection of the original app, let's hear it. :)

I see it is from the same person. the original has over 100,000 downloads. the new one has 1000. The play store no longer has the original, and the original doesn't offer to update to the new one. Strange, eh?

If you turn on the battery saver option for your device then the soft key light will not turn on so plz turn off the battery saver option for soft key light back again. There is no setting option to turn it on or off for the soft key light. Hope it may solve your problem

Can't find this in the settings. Does anyone know where to find it?

Its the Power save settings,

Go to Settings, ~ Device maintenance - Battery -

Look for Power Saving Mode - Switch it to OFF

Then your soft lower casing lights will work fine.

You can also switch off power hungry apps in the same screen.
