How to turn off swype tips?

Is there a way I can turn off swype tips? every time I correct it, out brings up a pop up showing me how to delete words. Very annoying.

Enable tip indicator is set to off.

Not sure about that myself. Its pretty much the reason why I dont use Swype. Plus the lack of a key pop up when pressing a key.

The pop up is an actual tip? Or is the pop up showing you different words that your trying to make?

I keep getting the "delete hidden word" tip like a million times. I love swype with that notable exception that these stupid tips keep popping up over and over again!

I never have really used the Swype keyboard. I always used either the OEM keyboard or a custom one. Hopefully someone who has knowledge with swype can help you out with this.

I'm fairly new to Swype, but I'm not getting any popup tips and I have 'enable tip indicator' to on. I think that may actually confine them to the Swype button... awkward terminology though, if so.

This also worked for me. It's rather un-intuitive.

I could never get used to swipe. Hated the popup as well. Stock keyboard get's the job done, although I do sort of miss the HTC Keyboard. Just spent some time on swype, eek, can't do it.

the new swype beta removes the popup feature entirely, not to mention other features that make it a lot better than the pre-installed one. you need to have sideloading enabled to install it, though.
