There is an app that goes on when i put my phone down and its gives me a few boxes with options of making phone call check messges emails , I think its stock with the phone but I was wondering how to turn it off.. or take it off because its rather annoying

Edit: so I figured what was running and it was car mode. Does anybody know how to shut this off or disable it?

There should be a icon at the top of your screen. If you go into notification draw and click the message it should exit the car dock.

I have this issue as well, and I just can't figure out what's bringing it up except that it is always when my phone is upside down or sideways in my car's cupholder (not necessarily plugged in to anything). Accelerometer? Bluetooth is always off.

It's quite annoying sometimes.

yeah same.. maybe a glitch.. the thing is this has only been recent for me..

I have my bluetooth turned OFF, Car Mode still keeps popping up at random times, kicking me out of whatever I am in. I want to rip it out of my phone but it is "uninstallable". I absolutely HATE car mode!!! There is no remove or disable and it just keeps taking over.. I am seriously considering getting an iPhone (don't want to) just so i don't have to have car mode on my phone.

With ICS you can disable apps, so just make sure your next phone has ICS+ :)
