Sorry if this is a redundant question but I couldn't find any threads to help with unrooting the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III running 4.3. Or can I just use SuperUser? Any instructions? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums!

It really depends on the rooting method that you used, but if you're using SuperSU then you can try unrooting using it: open the SuperSU application, select the SETTINGS tab, then scroll down to the section titled CLEANUP and select 'Full unroot'.

Thanks for the help. (I'm going to show my noobness here) I used the app that was a one step root that came out earlier this year. I want to get back to factory to re-sell the phone and I know that there have been some concerns with 4.3 and Knox.

THanks again.

Yes! Yes, I did use Towelroot! Does that help in resetting the phone?

It's a VZW Galaxy S3. Thanks again!

Here is my thought process. Going to use Triangle Away, then Super SU to unroot and just do a wipe and reset. I'm using no custom ROMs or anything. It is simply flashed so I could add root only apps.

Triangle Away states that I need to unlock Bootloader but can't find any info on that. Is that a concern?

I don't think Towelroot messes with the bootloader (all it does is provide a root exploit), so if Triangle Away requires the bootloader to be unlocked you'd have to look at a different solution.
What does the Download mode screen show you? It should be something similar to this:

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-I535
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
Warranty Bit: 0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE

Your best bet might be to just use the Kies software on your computer to reload the stock firmware and not fiddle around with all of these other solutions.

Well, in recovery mode I get:

SECURE FAIL: KERNEL

Then the Triangle with the "System software not authorized..."

In ODIN MODE:

WARNING!!!

A custom OS can cause critical problems...

So, are we talking about different screens because I don't get anything that looks like what you have listed...

Thanks!

Sorry it reads:

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-I535
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (1 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER RP SWERV: 1

You should definitely use the Kies software to reload the stock firmware, or you can use a tool called Odin to manually load the stock firmware, which can be found here.
