can a mod please lock this thread?!

The links do not work please use one of the following tools:

LG update tool
KDZ
KP500

all above tools will force flash your phone to a warranty approved firmware, and instructions can be found here.

I cant get GNM?s v1.1.0 Recovery Kernel, link is broken. Does anyone know where to get it. Or can someone email it to me. PLEASE. Thank yOu

To be honest,
this post is old and confusing.

without pulling my hair out and slamming the phone against the wall i figured it out.

use the simple unroot method here http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...67361-how-simplified-unroot-return-stock.html, download the recovery and other img, put it on your SD, adb in and flash those, then u have to force flash the phone into VD or whatever u want using this here http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...ing-ota-ls670vc-vd-using-kp500-diag-mode.html

then after its all done, go into the settings, privacy and factory reset the phone.

then its finally done!

Something must have messed up for me, I follow every step exactly and after rebooting I can no longer get into bootloader mode and it wont boot into android, help!! It's just a black screen!

Failed at Going stock and Unrooting.

Ultimate Fail. I did everything, but I must have failed at something. I think I'm bricked, but its a weird brick, so I thought that I would share it with you. I didn't get any errors while flashing the recovery image using the command prompt, and the sound of old sprint boot logo cricketing made me feel safe, until I saw that I saw nothing. The screen was black. I waiting in merciless horror only to watch as my optimus boot looped back to the LG screen and into the blank bootscreen. I took out the battery and tried putting it into recover. It looked like it was going to work, seeing as it made no sprint logo screen noise... and I waited. No recovery. No bootloop. Just a black recovery. Interestingly enough though, if I were to hit the menu button or the home key twice, the phone reboots. Hitting any other key does nothing. Also while I am in "recovery" the device is recognized in adb, but that is where ALL hope seems to end.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb shell
- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -
Obviously I screwed up, but could someone tell me where? Thanks! (I'm ordering a new optimus off ebay Thursday and just replacing the guts.) Hope this can be identified, laughed at, and never done again.

You didn't screw up. You have a newer model Optimus that comes with a new LCD component. The older V9 recovery does not have the LCD drivers to control your display. Everything will work, you can press buttons, clear cache, etc., just you will have no visual feedback. You can't start adb shell because /system isn't mounted.

I suggest you follow this thread (skip step 2 since you already have stock recovery)

:D AND IN THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN A ZOMBIE OPTIMUS S WAS BORN! :D Thank you so much for the guides, both of you! NEVER flashing a radio image like that again! >.< THANK-YOUUUU!

Maybe I'm missing something; but at first glance it seems as though all the download links in the first post are broken - or, at least, the first 3. What's up with that?

If I just wanted to get to stock so I could update my NVRAM and provisioning, could I just flash the V8 nandroid dump in Post #1? Or do I have to have the stock recovery as well? My data isn't connecting, so I'm trying to find the easiest fix with the lowest probability of bricking my phone.

Thanks!

i tried going to the link and it tells me that it doesnt exist

That probably happened because you couldn'/wouldn't read above where it says links are broken use kp500. I would probably try that first before wondering why dead links are dead.
