How to unsubscribe from Tinder plus/gold on an Android phone?

I have an Android phone (OnePlus 5T). I had subscribed to Tinder Plus/Gold a few months back. My intention was to subscribe for one month only. However, I am getting charged every month subsequently due to auto renewal. I would like to unsubscribe from the service but I am unable to do so.

Note that no subscriptions show up when I follow the standards steps described on the internet (go to Play Store -> Menu -> Subscriptions).

Can someone advise on how to unsubscribe? Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!

Have you checked within the app? Unless it's billing through Google the steps shouldn't go through Google to terminate the subscription.
