Anybody know how to update the Galaxy Nexus to Jellybean without rooting the phone?
I do have a unlocked bootloader though..
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. :)

Not possible right now. Google will push the update to Galaxy Nexus owners somewhere around mid July.

You can only update to Jelly Bean if you have never accepted an OTA since you bought your phone (you would be on software version IMM76D). Otherwise, you need to unlock your bootloader.

Are you sure about that? The 2 Nexus' I purchased from the Google Play Store last month came with software version IMM76I installed on them out of the box.

Same here, I was wondering the same thing?
I would think when JB 4.1 rolls out, we would get the notification that there is an update

I think Mr. ragnarokx is referring to the ability to flash without an unlocked bootloader, using the non-offical JB that folks are flashing to their phones right now. Once the offical update is released, I'm 100% sure it will have an update path for IMM76I to Jxxxxx. It would be pretty boneheaded not to.

Uhm, sorry for the newbness, but where do I check if I have IMM76D or IMM76I or what?
Is not the "baseband version" or the "build number", right? Cuz I have something entirelly different there.

Well first question is what is you firmware at 4.0.2-3-4? I myself got an international Gnex a few months ago. When I ran the gnex firmware version app it told me mine was to be updated by Samsung and not Google. So I knew at that moment I was not getting any update from them in the foreseeable future. I unlocked and put on the factory image from Google itself. That way I knew i'd have the latest updated when they pushed it out. You may be in the same boat.

Again, pardon my newbness.
What you just told me is that since I dont have a yakju device, I need to flash yakju first, right?

On your phone Go to Settings/About Phone and then scroll to the bottom. That will tell you your build number. IMM76D, I or some other number.

There's also the Android Version. If it's 4.0.2 AND this is a GSM phone, you most likely have a non-Google build. The so called YAKJUXW or some other non-YAKJU build.

How you proceed is up to you. Flashing the phone to the Google build is not difficult, but it is techincal. You'll have to fight a bit with drivers and what not. But I do recommend it to ensure you get timely updates.

EDIT:
You can google around for the steps on how to flash.
I was offering assitance here, too. But his PC was giving him fits. http://forums.androidcentral.com/google-galaxy-nexus/183472-force-update-4-0-4-a.html#post1893159
