How to use phone's mic, when headphones are in?

The mic on my favourite headphones is broken so it won't record anything. When I'm in a call with somebody, they won't hear me when I have my headphones on. How do I make it so, that my phone's mic is working, when I have my headphones on? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately you can't with stock options. Once the phone detects headphones/headset, it defaults to using that mic/line-in as audio input. There are 3rd party apps that help re-route audio options, but I think you need root for microphone access.
