How to use your laptop's webcam remotely?

Is there an app to do that?

So we can check what's going on when we're away.

Even if there was an app to do this, I'm not sure how well this would work. Your laptop would have to be open and never sleep. If it does go to sleep, and for long enough, the password/pin might need to be entered again.

It can be done from the settings.

But like I said...the laptop would have to be awake all the time. Perhaps a Nest camera would be a better idea for what you need?
