How well does tmobile service work inside buildings?

Just noticed about 30 minutes ago that I didn't have LTE on my phone here at work. Of course I got a little worried as before, with 4G, I was not able to use data inside. Well, I tried data while I was on 4G, and it worked fine. Fast(I didn't run a speed test), and I had no problem loading up pages that before would not load while I was on 4G. Then about 30 minutes later, it was back on LTE.

Maybe they are still testing/upgrading things?

Chicago here.

Most likely. Even though they launch it.. It doesn't mean 100%.

I'm on the westside of chicago austin area and most of the time when traveling thru the city I have lte.

Yeah I got an unlocked escape from my bil and slapped a prepaid 70$ sim in lol. I can honestly say T-Mobile came a long way.

1900mhz dose not work well inside compared to outside

If ur in a low signal area it will not work well

If ur in a high signal area you will be ok.

If ur near a military base as am I you will be stuck using att cuz there is some tmo signal some bases dont allow near them for some reason, as told by tmobile rep as to why the tower on my block lacks their antenna.

I will be to Hawaii depending on what Sprint does with these new plans.. Don't like em at all.

Also.. I do love the idea of Jump on Tmobile.. I usually upgrade each year so that program would be perfect.

Hopefully, tmo has good coverage in your area too. If so? You will not be disappointed

Over the 4th of July weekend I was on the Kaneohe Marine base.
Tmobile had excellent coverage there. Also,
Where I work in a central plant 18 feet underground surrounded by concrete. Nextel phones with their
800mhz? I would not pick up a signal down there. Tmobile works fine for me in this same area with 1700mhz lte.
I believe sprint currently runs lte on 1900 not tmobile

I have about 5 friends with Tmobile and they love it... So I am very tempted. Plus I checked the Tmobile LTE site and it says Jacksonville FL has LTE now for them... So that tempts me more. :o.

Thanks for all use great info guys, I'm about to kick sprint in the private spot..... And hop on to tmobile.
I pay sprint $11/month for equipment protection per line. I heard tmobile JUMP program includes total insurance for devices, now I'm even more tempted

Re: How well tmobile penitrates buildings?

Wow that's awesome... As long as I get some service (even 1mbps) indoors I. Okay

If you already know 2 nurses with both Android and Apple phones that do not get service where you work I seriously suggest that you rethink this. I have no issues in my office building in Manhattan, but as soon as I go below ground in any building my signal disappears.

Re: How well tmobile penitrates buildings?

No contract. If it sucks just port your number back over.p

It sucks something awful. I use att for phones however becasue soooo many folks were like tmobile is faster than att I got their LTE hot spot deal for trips and vacation well lets say this is awful so far chicago, Dallas, san Antonio, and st Louis are all slow my att lte is faster I am going rethink keeping it with the hopes that it gets better but not looking good.

As for how well does it work in buildings... Just had to post this.

I am in Whole Foods and before I would roam with Sprint... This store just killed all cell for some reason on Sprint.

Now on T-mobile... I hold LTE and get this lol.

From my experience with T-Mo, I've had signal problems inside our office building and inside Safeway. I also live and work in Northern California. I have excellent signal at home but at work in San Francisco, signal is a problem especially inside our building. I have no signal, I cannot even make a call or text. One time, I was walking along 24th street and I was on EDGE. That was after the much hyped press con they did when they launched that JUMP thingy and activated LTE in San Francisco.
