How's it going so far?

I know it's early, but what do you think so far? I have the 10 Pro XL. It arrived Thursday evening and I set it up Friday morning. So I'm a few hours into day two. I'm coming from a 9 Pro XL and I'm trying to decide whether to keep the 10 and trade in the 9, or stick with the 9 and return the 10. I ordered the 9 Pro XL at launch last year and used it for a week or two and then decided to keep it, trading in my Samsung S24 Ultra. I liked the Samsung but preferred the Pixel [this always happens to me :-)]. I've been fairly issue free with the 9 Pro XL so I'm trying to pay close attention to my experience using the 10 Pro XL to see if I can tell enough of a difference to justify keeping it over the 9. I will say I was bracing for the e-sim thing, but it was much easier than I was anticipating and barely took longer than swapping a physical sim. So far battery life seems comparable to the 9 but it's really too early to make a judgment on that. Anyway, just putting this out there . . . how are you liking it? And, especially if you're coming from a Pixel 9, what do you think? Thanks all.

I set up my 10 Pro last night so I'm not even 24 hours into this but so far, I'm loving it. Came from a 9 Pro. I'm really loving the build in magnets. I've been using a magnetic case on my 9 Pro but it just never worked seamlessly. I use a pop socket for extra grip. I have a wireless charger in my car and several in my home but normally just plugged it in to charge since the wireless charging was a hit or miss. My phone would decrease in power while driving! Now, it just all works! Pictures are spot on and more fun on this phone than the 9 Pro. Display is better and it just seem quicker. They say you can't judge the battery until you're a week into normal use so that's still up in the air, but it seems great so far, considering most of what I've done was set up and make sure all my apps work. So far, it's great!

So far so good for me. I got it yesterday and did a fresh set up this morning. The update automatically downloaded. After that I switched my esim from S25U, which went well thanks to a user here advising turn off sim protection. I turned it back on afterward. Then I used SMS backup and restore to get all my texts and calls. While that was uploading I signed into all my apps.

The speakers sound pretty good. No issues with fps using a privacy protector from Amazon. It's fast and face detection is even faster. The rest of the day has been customizing settings and the home screens, setting routines, connecting BT buds, watch, car, speaker. I haven't run into any issues at all. I can't even say it got really warm.

I worked her hard today. Now she's at 6.5 hrs screen with 18% left. Not bad for day 1.

Coming straight off S25U, there are a few things missing, but not enough to quit on a Pixel. It's a close 2nd imo. I'm happy to turn in my 9P and use this 10P until S26U.

After my esim BS I've gone back and did a backup of my P8P and copied everything back to the P10P. I connected my Buds pro today and did some traveling around the DC area today. Left the house at 2PM with 100% and now I'm sitting at 62 at 9:22Pm.

After using it a full day and overnight, there a 2 major things I miss. Shortcuts and edge panel. (that's 1 thing). I'm used to a double tap to turn the screen on /off and sliding the edge panel for easy access to more apps that I don't use enough to add to the home screen. A bunch of little things that make the user experience simple. Pixel has limited creature comforts.

Second is a bright AOD. Last night I could barely see the screen. I had to wake it up before I could see the notifications. It's brighter on my P9P.

Speaking of notifications, I miss the days they were full color.

I'm coming from an 8 Pro, so far it's been really good except for one major issue. The phone is not currently compatible with my Galaxy watch 8 classic! It's been beyond frustrating. I researched online and there's a ton of people having the same issue. There's something with the Bluetooth connectivity between the watch and the pixel 10 that just isn't compatible and won't work. Really hoping for a fix soon. But other than that I really like the phone!
