Like pretty much basically has it been rooted to the point yet where you can flash whatever ROM you want on it or the latest build of CyanogenMod with vanilla Android and all the bells and whistles of CMod? And how's the battery life on it, stock and with CM? I'm asking because I'm finally thinking about getting a new phone, have had my Nexus One since March. It's gonna be hard for me to let it go, just look at how long I've lasted with one phone...it's godly, best phone ever IMO, everything about it is perfect. But it's touchscreen is acting up a bit and I love big screens. I'm deciding between a MT4G and Nexus S...I've heard great things about the G2's battery life and it looks beautiful imo, nice color scheme like the N1 and has vanilla android and a hardware keyboard is always great but idk, if I upgrade from my N1 I want a bigger screen. The Nexus S is what it is, pure google > life. 4' super amoled and gingerbread but ugh no SD card slot, and MT4G has a notification light plus the SD card slot. Not worried about brand here even bieng loyal to HTC because Nexus S is all Google so it bieng made my Samsung doesn't bother me at all. I've seen the MT4G get awesome benchmarks too, I can't decide which to get. Heard the battery on the Nexus S is great so I was wondering how the battery on the MT4G is.

See the battery life sticky for battery life. In short, it's pretty great. Yes it can be fully rooted and CM7 nightlies are available for it.

Am currently running CM7 (nightly build 16) on my MT4G, so you can run CM builds.

On stock Espresso, I really didn't have too much trouble w/battery life, and I'm on my phone quite a lot w/streaming from Pandora or Tune Radio and watching videos and playing games. With that said, the CM7 nightly builds have shown me a lot more battery life w/the same amount of use and the use of SetCPU to overclock to 1497MHz.
