Hows the curved edge for watching videos?

Do the curves distort or does the light reflection along the edge become an annoyance while watching videos? Thinking of upgrading to the note 8 from 5 and I haven't used any curved edge devices ever since it came out few years ago. I use the phone mostly to watch youtube videos and twitch TV streams so I'd prefer flat screen but note 8 looks promising.

I'm using the galaxy s8 plus where the curve is a little bit more pronounced then the note 8, but still the edge isn't that curved so when I watch a video it doesn't annoy me at all, especially with the big screen - it has almost zero effect of the content

It doesn't bother the video at all.

No issue here. It does take a few minutes to get used to though. Sometimes text along the top or bottom look odd but that is not present during video playback.

It's much better for watching videos, it creates an immersive experience
