How's the LG G3 battery compared to the G2?

Does the G3 battery last shorter, longer or about the same compared to the G2 when doing similar tasks? That might at least help give a point of reference for people.

I had a G2 and while I loved the phone and the battery was certainly better than my Nexus the huge battery on my Droid Maxx won out in the end.

My droid maxx does. Lasts about 20% longer.

The G2 does. The G2 and G3 both use the 3,000 mAh lithium ion battery, but the G3 requires more juice to operate because of the screen, size, and processor speed.

What about it? That would probably make it last longer but I prefer my phone as thin and light as possible. Especially with phones getting as big as they are

My original maxx still had 50% battery left after 17 hours last night. Still works fine. I'll keep it till I know the next phone I want is out there

Kinda same here. I have a bit of the new phone itch and really liked the g2 when I briefly owned it but I might wait for the next Maxx variant.

That sounds like a lot. How much do you use it? Comparing my Droid Maxx to the G2 after a typical 10h shift at work I'd be around 70-75% on the Maxx and 55-60% on the G2.

I like the maxx... would be on my short list of phones some time ago... don't like verizon.

Just had a G2 before I got my G3 and it seems like the battery of the G2 lasts longer. The Usage is mostly similar, screenbrightnes equal on 50%.

G2 definitely better from my experience so far. I only had the G2 for a couple weeks, but I remember the battery being stellar. Almost as good as my Note 3.

Do we know if there is going to be a new Maxx or variant? I haven't heard any rumors of a successor to the Maxx.

My g2 started off better,but went downhill, now with a replaceable battery we have options.

That's what I'm holding out for if the g3 battery life is worse than the g2 which is worse than the Maxx.
