I have a maxx and the phone goes in and out of 4g to 3g often, about 10 times a day and sometimes to voice only. I have had 5 replacements from Verizon and they are all the same. Is this phone better??? BTW, I am in the Chicago area.

I switch a lot 3/4g. The battery life is amazing. I'm also Chicago area.

Mine stays 4G unless I go to an area that is week or no 4G. I've changed the network from world to LTE/CDMA, so maybe that has helped. I'm in a fairly rural area as well.

Rock solid connection. Moto radios used to drive me nuts but this phone works even better than it looks (if that's possible).

Mine switches a lot at home, but does stay on 4g quite a bit. I get mostly 4g when I am at work.

It does switch much faster than the Samsung galaxy Siii (which really annoyed me... "oh, look... 4g... Lets switch to that... Just give me a minute here...") and the battery life is amazing in comparison. The radio on this phone is simply amazing.

I cant say if its better or worse than my RAZR. Seems the same, which was borderline great on my RAZR.

Works great for me here in Northern NJ. My only issue so far is where you hit a data dead spot, sometimes it takes a while to get data back. Aside from that I have had no issues.
