How's the signal strength of the Verizon Galaxy S4?

I checked mine and it hovers around -106dBm most of the time. So I guess that's not really good. I don't actually get a lot of calls, but the ones that I have gotten lately seem to be OK. Talked to hubby in his hotel room a couple of times without problems. Maybe it was just his cold causing him hearing problems. Also got a call at work and that was OK. You gotta understand that I'm "semi" retired, so don't really go to tons of places, especially when hubby is gone on business for 2 weeks a month. So unfortunately it's hard for me to get a handle on any potential problems with this phone in 2 weeks. I have a week left, and he is coming home, so maybe we will be out more and I can check things out. If I could convince my daughter to actually call her mother once in awhile maybe that would help!

Mine is horrible! We live in the country as it is. But iPhones in the house are fine. I can't even get a text to go thru half the time. I now have a new extender with 3G, and it hasn't helped at all. Verizon sent me a new SIM card, it wasn't that. Even in middle of town, I can't search internet 40% of the time. Does anyone know if I can demand a different phone ? I've had this one about 6 months biut have been calling verizon the entire time. Thank you

Keep calling Verizon Tech Support. At some point, they should give you a warranty replacement phone.

If you can't get a great signal with a network extender, there is something wrong with the phone. If iPhones work, you should not need a network extender, so I'd be looking to return that for a refund, too.

I would kick and fight for a new phone...what good is it if it doesn't work.
My s4 has gotten a wee bit better but still very slow in some locations, but if my home Comcast goes down the S4 struggles to connect.
Should have went with Motorola, when my Vz. Contract is up this phone will be sold and I'll get a Motorola.

My signal strength if I go south from where I live, crapy, at the show south people say that it is not my phone in the area, it is all carriers, if I go north to the next town, or any other town, I get full bars. so VZ but us at the bottom of the food chain in our city, and other carriers too. But I had Sprint and would get no bars south of my city (Fremont) same place now with my S4 Vz, and get 2 bars. That's why I dumped Sprint. So was not my phone, it was and is the Carriers.

I have a Verizon tower about 6 houses away with no obstructions between. Im looking at it from base to tip and still only have 2 bars !

With Samsung, radio/call signal isn't as important as all the bells and whistles...go figure.
This is where Motorola excelles!

Worse than my old LG, on all 4 phones we have, Samsung didn't put a great antenna in thes phones.
