How's your battery performance?

Mine has barely been on 3g or 4g. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Everyone needs to also show screen on time (touch the "screen" and it will display time on.

Here is my battery performance. I'm on wifi most of the day. I'm running 3g, not 4g and I turn my moble data off to save battery. I feel all this has not helped. Can someone diagnose for me.

I got 16+ hours on my Samsung Charge and still had 50% battery at the end of the day.

Why is my Android System so high at 49%

Thanks

I think android system is so high because of wifi. I think if the signal isn't great it drains more battery just like the data side would.

What is your screen on time?

3g for 9 hours at work and wifi usually other places like home.

I'm not sure what you mean by screen on time, unless it is what shows as 20% in my screen shot above.

Tmags2 if you touch where it says screen, it will go to a new screen where it will show the screen on details in hours & minutes. See my screen shot above.

Same with me FORGETFUL! The update sort of helped but didn't fully fix my problem. I'm debating calling ATT and trying to just get a new one to join everybody else with their great battery life. Still a constant wifi download arrow and I can't trace it to anything.

For the first week of having the S3, I was only getting about 10-12 hrs of battery life. I downloaded GSam Battery Monitor and found apps that were keeping the phone awake, and did some tweaking, and yesterday I got 20 hrs out of the battery.

Sounds promising, I've been looking for something along those lines. I'm only getting around 10 hours and it sits idle in my car for 8 of those hours while I'm at work. I might go check it in the middle of my day, but aside from that, its in power saver mode. I've tried app settings on an individual level, next step is one of these tweak.

I've noticed the Gallery app running for no reason and keeps the phone Awake. Any idea why this happens? I'm not taking pics or vids or doing anything with the Gallery app, right now Gallery is empty. When I go to battery status it's in the list of things discharging battery. I force close it and the awake time stops. Happened to me twice in the last week and it really sucks the battery down. Any ideas?

Battery is definitely getting a lot better!

battery life is great.... plus i have a charger at work and a car charger so its not like my phone is ever going to die....

battery life on this thing is incredible!

heres my battery screen taken a few minutes ago.

this is with less than 1 hour of screen time, with wifi on,mobile data off.

from my old phone, I'm used to only turning on what I'm using at the moment, but honestly with this phone I'm keeping wifi on while at home at all times and seeing very little drain as a result. I'm a contractor I don't usually charge my phone during the day and I don't do a lot with it while at work except on lunch and such sometimes. for me, the most important factor for battery is how long will it last in my pocket when using it mostly for phone calls. based on these numbers if I didn't use the screen much it could last for days on 1 charge.

and of course pay no attention to the cell standby number since that's still borked and not the actual figure. I would like to know why maps is using such a large portion of the battery though, anyone know what app/function is doing that?
