As I use my X in so many different capacities, I thought it might be interesting to see how you Xperience your Droid in your day?
I get up, check my email while my coffee makes, review the news headlines, play some WordFeud, text my kids going to school to drive safe in the rain, take my wife to the doctor at Nashville, use the voice to text and phone to talk to a buddy about some new tires to pick up for me. Use the X calculator to figure some shipping. Use the X cam to take a picture of The Cheesecake Factory to send to the kids to see what they missed by not coming with us. Use the X police scanner to hear why the traffic is stopped on the interstate, find out a bad wreck, so use the X GPS/navigator to get a detour home. Talk to the kiddos at home.
At home listen to Pandora while taking a shower...listen to X police scanner while hanging in the living room with the kids, send texts to brother about our mom's bday. Play some more wordfeud and read some more news throught the day.
And at nite, have some 'alone time' with the wife to some x Pandora plugged into the bedside radio with the right music. :)
And this is just in one day. LOL.

...text my kids going to school to drive safe in the rain, ...

Good stuff and all but why would you text your kids while they drive to school in the rain only to distract them and take their attention off the wet road.

And I love the police scanner app. My town is pretty boring when it comes to crime so I listen in on Chicago.

Read my mind lol so +1 on this.

I use my phone for very little lately. Texting my girlfriend when I'm not with her, browsing the web if I'm out or just feel like laying in bed. Playing some games on it (Sega, NES, SNES etc) and mostly just messing with it. I am rooted on 2.2 and always looking for new and interesting apps or hacks.

The one thats caught my eye so deeply recently was the HDMI hack by Gman. Props to him and here's hoping for a speedy release.

They hadn't left home yet, I had left home before them, went to work out and texted them from the Y to leave a little early because of the rain.
I said 'going to school' not 'while they drive to school'.

Of course, I didn't know the e-police would dissect the post, make assumptions and give me an e-ticket. lol
Sorry officer, I'll pay closer attention next time. :)
But it's always good to encourage no texting and driving.
Thanks.

Ditto. Police Scanner brings up a ton. Scanner Radio seems to get decent reviews.

Did some searching and it seems scanner radio is the best and also free. listening to my local police dept now. kinda cool. i havent used a scanner in like 8 years. when i was 20 i had one on during house parties every weekend. saved our butts a few times. oh those were the days.

Ya, scanner radio. I'm ex-EMS, so I just get the Jones when like last nite they started with a stabbing, then a CPR in progress on a 17 year old OD and so forth. Also handy when it's weather related; flooding/etc.

I got to thinking later and there are so many other things in a day I use my X for:
Like going to town with my boys last week, remembered we wanted to see a certain movie, open the browser, see movie times at that theatre, call wife and ask her to meet us there.
Show off the cool video of 'it's a dad's life 2010'. LINK HERE,(nothing related to droid stuff, but I love this vid....LOL)
Weatherbug keeps a temp on statusbar. I checked the radar when leaving Nashville last week and saw a HUGE storm we would have to drive thru headed home, so I was prepped for that.
Show off senior pictures of my daughter
Show off pictures of our camping trip to St. Augustine
Schedule everything with my Jorte calendar.
Check news headlines thru the day on CNN
Keep up with tech news on Tech Time/Android Central widget.
See what my peeps is up to with the FB widget.
See what's coming on TV that nite on TV guide
open the Bible up at church
Take pictures of anything I want; for instance when my son backed into a car in front of the hospital I work at.
Use the music player for my favorite mp3s for working out.
Use the sound machine to drop a powernap sometimes.
To get/to do list is on Padroid plus, so when I'm out I can pickup stuff I forget without sticky notes all over the place. And the notepad keeps things like tire sizes for the four wheeler.
Burn time playing some totally brainless games like Pong. (age showing here).
Now when I teach it how to weedeat, I'm good.

I use my X to check all most all my email now, also text messages, text alerts from: breaking news, jokes, sports, weather, friends.
I use trapster app. when driving .Web surf some, youtube, games, etc. and other stuff I am sure I forgot to post.Oh and actually use it to talk on some to , lol :)

Me and Droid X... based on a real events.

We get up in the mornig and change our profile from "Phone Only" to "Normal". We check our email and delete the obligatory "your mailbox is over the size limit" email that we get every night at midnight.

After putting Droid X in an Aquapac case, we jump in the shower to wash away the grime from all the hot action the night before. While showering we review text, email, videos, pictures, Tweets, Facebook messages, Diggs, Foursqaure updates, weather forcast, RSS feeds, etc., etc. We've got to get that police scanner app as we have a little empty time to fill after washing our hair.

Droid X slides neatly into my pocket after we get dressed then into the truck we go as we drive off on our commute to work. During the drive Droid X makes noise, flashes, and glows at me. It sits comfortably in its seat as I touch it and we hurl headlong down the expressway like a 7000 pound missile.

At work we "check in". I'll bet you can guess who the mayor is at my workplace. WRONG! It's Howe in engineering. Damn you Howe!

Droid X and I spend the day updating apps, reading tech blogs, posting on Android Central, and dodging assignments and responsibility. We put in a few hours in the restroom playing Number Cruncher or Word Up! while trying to survive the combination of yesterday's dinner of Mexican food and today's lunch of Thai cuisine.

The drive home is much the same as the drive to work. Except now we're on our time. Home brings cutting the lawn while listening to heavy metal mp3s with Droid X, or maybe a trip to the gym, dinner, drinks, or something. All that requires more "check in's", emails, Tweets, texts, and phone calls.

After the night out, we head home for some one on one time. We're usually alone unless someone "accidently left" a priceless prototype smartphone at the bar. We might read a Kindle book or play a little game before Droid X hops into its bed on the nightstand and I snuggle close in the warm loving glow of Droid X's 4.3" screen.

I usually dream of going to exotic places with Droid X. We bask in the sun on beautiful tropical beaches or explore ancient ruins in far away lands. I can only imagine what Droid X is dreaming of. Promply as usual, Droid X's alarm goes off and we start the day all over again. ;)

THAT is one of the best and funniest threads I've ever read!
LOL

I like the 'grime from all of the hot action from the nite before' line. lololol

I can tell you and I share the same spectacular, over the top imagination.
Great stuff!

By this I think you and I think alike as well. My friend's wife described her hubby and I's humor as "dark & twisty". You in? lol
