How's your naked N4 holding up?

So I dropped mine tonight for the first time in 7 months of using it without a case. Forgot it was on my lap in the car and got out. Landed face down in the street. Just has two little dings in the bezel on the top. Screen and back are perfect still. I was afraid to pick it up since it landed face down.

I think you can see them in the picture. Will continue to use it naked.

I can hardly see it, in fact I'm not even sure I'm looking at the right place lol.
This is what frightens me. I'm constantly getting in and out of different cars at work and I have a habit of putting my phone on my lap.

Never put it in a pocket with other hard objects e.g. keys. I do have a case ss it's bound to get fine scratches after a while, say a year or two.

Mine is naked for about 3 months now. Still in perfect condition although the rear glass seems to pick up very high level of fingerprints.

I just noticed that there is a small chip in the glass on the bottom corner in my pic here. Not bad considering what could have happened with how brittle some people claim the glass is. Click on the picture to enlarge it.

Yeah I can see that. Not bad at all considering how long you have had it. I'm still using a case though cos I'm a bit of a worrier..
But I would like to go naked and free..

This is a golden rule. I never put ANYTHING else in the same pocket. I am religious about this and it is one of the reasons my 8 month completely naked phone still looks like new.

My previous phones (iPhones) had a few little scratches on the front glass because I don't think I was so careful then although I think the Gorilla Glass technology, as on the N4, is tougher nowadays.

I'm such a minimalist that I religiously HATE phone cases. Even protective skins tend to bother me. With that said I've never broken a screen, dropped a phone in water, or had anything more than a light surface scratch on any of the phones I've ever owned.

That all changed this summer when for some reason (probably the alcohol infused months) I put my Galaxy S3 through hell over the span of 6 weeks. Broken glass, dropped in a pool, dings everywhere. It still runs like a champ though, but that's changed my perspective on cases now.

I bought this case for my N4 and it's the best thing I found that's closest to the minimalist feel I desire.

I'd still much rather prefer a naked phone 10 times out of 10, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

I also have that Ringke case. With the N4's glass back, i don't want to take a chance. If the N5 has the same material on it's back like the new N7, I'll definitely rock that naked.

I removed my case. Dropped the phone a couple of times, not a single scratch or dent.

Mine held up pretty well, until I dropped it on concrete. That broke the glass and caused some dents on one side. It still runs fine though...
