HOX and iPhone earbuds

Ok when I first got my HOX I was using my iPhone earbuds and making/receiving calls easily. Now I can barely hear anything. Everyone sounds so low. I thought it was maybe the earbuds but when I listen to music it sounds fine. I checked all my volume settings and they are all max. Anything I'm missing here? Might there be a volume setting I missed or something?

Ok so I have a pair of Skull Candy earbuds with a Mic that also do the same thing. Any help please!!!!

I had a pair from my old Xperia Arc that did the same thing.... Never could really figure out what was wrong.
Got a pair of Beats earphones and they work fine...
