Has anybody else experienced this with their device,

I've been using the phone since it was released and had camera issues but never audio, however when I was streaming deezer just 2 weeks ago via my Aux jack in the car, I noticed there were some popping/distortion issues in the background. I initially thought my new speakers were going, but after trying other sources I.e Car radio and USB found that not to be the case.

I then tried different Aux leads, I have QED Performance Audio jack cable which is a high quality cable and have tried others which have the same issue.

So I maybe thought it was the 3.5mm connector in the car or the analog input mechanism which was broken and put it down to this.

However, I have some in ear headphones which I use for the gym which seemed to randomly distort on the left bud and again initially just thought the driver in the headphone was broken so contacted the company and exchanged for a new set. They came yesterday and I put them in my phone to test and the right bud had the same distortion.. This seemed strange to me, so I attached the HTC 10 hi-res in ear phones that came with the HTC 10 and heard the popping in the background of them music.

The conclusion is it seems to be my phones 3.5mm connector that is causing this distortion, I'm going to take it to carphone warehouse where i bought the phone to probably request it be sent off as this shouldn't be an issue.

Has anybody else had this problem??

Do you have NFC turned on. I get a constant thumping noise in one channel with my Bose QC3 headphones when NFC is turned on. Even the replacement phone has the same problem.

Nope,

I've never turned NFC on since I've had the phone I have no need for it.

It was fine when I first had the phone it's only the last couple of weeks, the audio works in the headphones but when you turn the volume up higher, not MAX but a decent volume you hear the crackles and distortion in the background, same with through the speakers in the car.

turn the dolby setting off... maybe the output is too much for your speakers... if it only happens when your phone volume turned up high, that's probably what it is

Yes, keep in mind that the phone has a more powerful built in amp than most and the sub bass capabilities are greater. You can easily overdrive certain things, especially when using EQ (like the Dolby).

No to both of you I'm afraid, turned dolby off same issue and even with volume lower same issue with all sources and trying with different headphones and with my car.. And the speakers and not low quality at all

You probably have a defective connection with your 3.5mm jack. Anyone know if Uh-Oh protection covers this?
