I'm a former Blackberry fan, had them from the early days up through the Z30. I've tried the android versions of the BB software, and I will tell you that the experience is simply not as good as it was in OS10. The whole thing is a bit stitched together and kludgey - I don't think this is BB's fault, rather these are limitations placed on android apps by the OS. One of the great things that BB excelled at was handling of notifications, and their android versions (as you'd get on the DTEK or HTC10) are severely hobbled in that regard.
So I have the HTC10, downloaded the BB apps, used them for about a week and decided that there simply wasn't enough value added. I've been able to tweak the HTC10 to perform the way I want it. I absolutely love the phone - it has been really undersold. The only nit that I have (coming from BB) is the lack of a multicolor notification LED. That's it - and I've gotten around that by tweaking my notification settings so that I only turn the LED on for something important. I've found that Aquamail and Signal are very helpful in this regard.
My advice - the HTC10 is a great phone. This is the first Android phone I've had that has been 'set and forget'. I don't mess with it a lot, I've got it setup and it runs fast without performance hiccups or crashes. It is a solid piece of hardware. Pictures are good. Sound is good. Display is awesome. Battery life is great. Voice quality is good. Form factor and build are fantastic. Sense is great - very lightweight with all the features you need and none that you don't.
The phone also receives regular updates. I've received three, while my wife with an international unlocked S7 has received one (minor) over that same time period.
