HTC 10 or Nexus Marlin?

Hmm, you just ”dumped” the 6p and went for the 10 without examining the problem at all? Wow! It's completely possible it was a defective unit. I like the 10 too, but just not convinced it gives a better overall experience than the 6p. I am running the developers preview of N on my 6p, so I suppose that may explain things a little. But knowing that the HTC may not get N until the end of the year, doesn't help its case much. Lol, I suppose a Nexus device will always have the advantage over OEMs just because it will always have the latest software, security patches, and bug fixes in tow. It's really kind of hard to beat that. And now that Google has decided to bring competitive hardware designs to their Nexus devices, it really puts the other OEMs at a disadvantage IMHO.

I also have the Momentum 2.0 wireless haha! Awesome headphones. I haven't had any problems at all with Bluetooth cutting in and out though. What revision of the headphones do you have? I ask because there was an issue with the earlier Momentum 2.0 Rev 1 headphones with Bluetooth and with the ear cups peeling. Apparently issues are fixed in Rev 2. Your issue may be the headphones and not the phone if you have the earlier version of the M2 wireless. Good that the 6p seems to be playing nicely with the M2.

I have the momentum wireless 2.0s. why would they work well with one phone but not the other if it's about the headphones and not the phone? Also, I have the same issue when I connect my HTC 10 via Bluetooth to my portable speaker system. BTW, which momentums did you choose? I have the ”on ear”version and I just love them. I tried the ”over the ear” as well, but I just preferred the forward soundstage of the on ears better.

No idea, all I know is there was an issue with Bluetooth with the older M2 wireless. Fingers crossed that I won't also start having Bluetooth issues now. I have the "over the ear" version.

Marlin with a 5.5 inch screen will be a bigger phone than the HTC 10. I like the 5.2 footprint.
 
I'd get the M10 if you need it NOW, otherwise, you might want to wait for the HTC Nexus. I am on AT&T so its not an issue for me, I love my M10.

In my opinion the HTC 10 is a great phone but may be a little bit overpricen (especially in my region). The information that we know about the new Google phones are rumors so it is early to decide between them. But we can expect a high end Snapdragon SoC, non expandable storage, etc. The HTC 10 has may be the best camera between the phones of the company so that can be a pro. I think people sould wait until the release of the phone and decide which features are important to them and deal.
 
Marlin (and Sailfish) will be AMOLED won't it? Good chance the screen will be better than the 10.
 
I know what you're saying. The upgrade itch is hard to resist! I would wait a little longer and see what the Nexus line of phones will be like before making a decision. Won't be much longer now! :)

I, too, am very interested in the Nexus line. Am thinking of switching back to Nexus from my LG.
 
I agree with jlp0209. The carriers aren't shooting themselves in the foot because people will for the most part walk into Verizon (using them as they are mentioned the most in this thread...applies to any other carrier) pick up the Galaxy or iPhone, sign on the line and walk out. It won't be until most people start going with a carrier that will take any phone with no compromises that they will then pay attention.
